What's Included?

Pirates Kayak Route with Snorkeling in Cabo de Gata

Enjoy a kayak tour with views of the impressive volcanic cliffs and crystal-clear waters. You'll receive a free photo report as a souvenir.
We'll make short stops to explain the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, its volcanic origins, and the Marine Reserves. We'll also make a 25-minute stop for snorkeling.
Departure from Cala del Cuervo
Total duration: approximately 3 hours.
Departure times: 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Conditions

  • Price is per person.
  • Children ages 5 to 8 must be accompanied by two adults, occupying the center seat in a triple kayak.
  • Children ages 9 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult in a double kayak.
  • Recommended equipment: swimwear, optional t-shirt, beach shoes or flip-flops, cap or hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle. We advise you not to bring anything that could get wet and damaged. We will keep your vehicle keys for you.
  • Swimming ability is required.
  • Due to sea conditions and wind direction, the route may be relocated to the Sirens Reef Route, with no refund. In the event of cancellation due to adverse conditions, we may reschedule the activity or issue a full refund.

What is the Kayak Tour on the Pirate Route Like?

The best way to explore the Pirate Route of Cabo de Gata is undoubtedly by sea, which allows us to enjoy all the scenic beauty of this natural park on the Almerian coast.

The first stop will be at the Dove Cave, an old refuge for smugglers and pirates, a cave that can only be accessed from the sea. After visiting the cave, we will continue our journey along the cliffs that form ancient reefs surrounding the area's volcanoes.

We will travel from Playazo de Rodalquilar to Cala del Bergantín, a protected virgin cove where we will stop to snorkel and discover its wonderful seabed.
