What's Included?

Via ferrata del Ponoig in Polop (Alicante)

One of the most interesting via ferratas in the area, with a primarily vertical route, athletic and airy sections, and a final rappel descent.

Activity duration: Approximately 4 hours

Difficulty: K4 (medium)

Approximate length: 230 meters

Minimum age: 14 years (see information sheet 2)

Vertical and horizontal route equipped with staples, holds, and handrails

Safety is ensured by a steel cable installed along the entire route

Harness with energy absorber and special carabiners that secure you in case of a fall

Descent with 2 rappels (25 m and 35 m)

  • Rappel ropes and necessary equipment

What is the Ponoig Via Ferrata?

The Ponoig Via Ferrata is a medium-difficulty (4K) route along the eastern face of Mount Ponoig, near the village of Polop. After a safety briefing and equipment distribution, you'll hike for about 25 minutes before starting a 300-meter vertical climb featuring overhangs and athletic sections. To descend, youā€™ll face two rappels of 25 and 35 meters. The route is fully equipped with anchors, chains, suspended bridges and other safety elements for a secure and exciting climb.
