The Snorkeling Excursion in Tabarca is a perfect adventure for sea lovers and nature seekers. Crystal-clear waters, marine caves, and vibrant underwater life await you on this magical island off the coast of Alicante.
The journey begins at the Santa Pola harbor, where you'll take a quick 15–20 minute boat ride to Tabarca Island. Once there, you’ll receive all the necessary snorkeling gear along with a full briefing on how to use it and the underwater route.
You’ll then explore shallow, rich marine areas and visit the legendary Llop Marí Cave, hidden beneath the island’s historic walls. According to local legend, this cave once sheltered a fearsome sea creature that haunted the islanders at night.
Because it’s a fun, refreshing way to explore one of the most unique natural spots on the Spanish coast. Tabarca was declared Spain’s first Marine Reserve in 1986 and remains a haven of biodiversity. The water is so clear you’ll easily spot schools of fish, sea grass meadows, and rock formations.
It’s the perfect mix of nature, legend, and ocean fun.
It’s ideal for anyone—from beginner snorkelers to seasoned underwater explorers. Children who know how to swim are also welcome, making it a great choice for families, couples, and groups of friends looking for a unique and accessible adventure on the Costa Blanca.
